Architectural Technology (Fast-Track)
Our Architectural Technology Fast-Track program allows qualified graduates with a university degree in architecture (including those from foreign universities) to gain direct admission into the third semester of the three-year Architectural Technology program and receive their diploma in four academic semesters. This Fast-Track program is primarily aimed at internationally-trained professionals seeking knowledge of North American construction practice and language.
In this engineering program, you will use state-of-the-art computer technology to prepare designs, construction drawings, specifications and reports needed to communicate with clients, builders and approval authorities. Activities include preparing drawings for commercial, institutional, complex and multi-use buildings. You are also introduced to building materials, construction methods, structural design, mechanical and electrical services, building codes, contracts, specifications and the business environment for providing design and construction.
